People First is a campaigning and self-advocacy organisation run by and for people with learning difficulties.

THEIR VISION

People First (Self Advocacy) want to ensure that the voices of people with learning difficulties are heard by the government and decision-makers. They work to build a society that’s more accessible to those with learning disability, championing the importance of self-advocacy groups in achieving this.

THEIR MISSION

They work all over the country, giving support, information, advice and training to people with learning difficulties and user-led self-advocacy groups. Their work includes campaigning for learning disability rights, going to policy meetings, keeping members up-to-date on key policy issues, consulting with self-advocacy groups and helping people to set up these groups.
